Ana M. Ramos Machuca – Legal Assistant
Ana has been with our firm since 2019. Among numerous other roles, Ana acts as our receptionist and will be the first friendly voice you hear on the phone when you make your first call to Plumides Romano & Johnson. She was born and raised in Charlotte and graduated from Harding University High School. Ana’s first language is Spanish, and she is always ready to translate for any Spanish speaking clients. Ana supports our attorneys and paralegals in the Family Law, Criminal Law, Personal Injury, and Workers Compensation areas of our practice. Her support includes scheduling appointments, filing and assisting in drafting court documents and correspondence. She also handles our administrative needs and takes pride in keeping our office running smoothly. Ana always has a spare hand to help those in need.
Casey Crook – Paralegal
Casey was born just outside New Orleans, Louisiana, but her family moved to Surfside Beach, South Carolina when she was two. Casey attended Charleston Southern University in North Charleston, South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Sociology. Her interest in law was sparked from a school assignment, traveling to and conducting first hand research on the law enforcement practices in Kathmandu, Nepal.
After college, she worked for law firms in the Columbia, South Carolina area. She obtained her paralegal certificate from Midlands Technical College while continuing to work full-time. Shortly after earning her certificate, she relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina. On October 12, 2019, Casey passed the paralegal certification exam and is now a North Carolina Certified Paralegal. Casey enjoys being a paralegal as it allows her to directly assist people and their families.
Casey enjoys going to the movies, cheering on the Clemson Tigers and the New Orleans Saints, and spending time with her rescue dog, Lady.
Jessica Brooks – Paralegal
Jessica was born and raised in Charlotte. Jessica studied paralegal studies at Boston University, MA while working full-time and taking care of her twin daughters. Without a doubt family is of the upmost importance to her, which is why helping the families in our office makes her job so rewarding. Over the past 11 years Jessica has worked with multiple Family Law firms in Charlotte. As the newest member of our team, Jessica works closely with attorneys in Family Law.
Tracey Teno – Paralegal
Tracey obtained her Associates Degree in Paralegal Technology in 1994 from CPCC in Charlotte, NC. Tracey has over 25 years’ experience working in law firms with her main focus on personal injury and litigation. Her passion has always been to help others. As a personal injury paralegal, she was able use that passion to help clients get the compensation they deserved for their injuries and pain and suffering.
Tracey joined PRJ Law in 2019 to bring her litigation skills and passion for helping others to the team. In her spare time, Tracey enjoys spending time with her family, attending her kids sporting events, watching movies and reading.
