A major car accident on Feb. 16 in Wilmington has resulted in various charges against the 32-year-old driver believed to be responsible. Charges include driving while intoxicated as well as drug charges. The man has been booked into an area jail and is being held on a bond of $325,000. Teacher and principal accused of pawning school property
Two employees of a North Carolina school district were taken into police custody after they were accused of pawning school property. One of the women is a 25-year-old teacher at a Caswell County alternative school, while the other is a 46-year-old principal at Bartlett Yancey High School. Both women were accused of selling several pieces of Caswell County Board of Education property to the same local pawn shop.
